Award Winning Food

The Home has in place a varied four-week food menu, which has received input from residents via their group meetings. Where applicable the Home has in place a cultural menu/vegetarian menu and a specialist menu. Staff are given the opportunity to undergo special training in a level 2 “Certificate in Nutrition and Health”.

Residents are given a choice in meal sittings.  As part of the individual personal profile there is a nutritional risk assessment that would identify any risk to the resident.

Staff are encouraged to closely monitor any residents who may be at risk by regularly monitoring and recording their intake.

The kitchen is accessible 24 hours a day.

Residents are encouraged to eat in the dining room but may eat in their own room if this is their choice and if it is not detrimental to their well-being. Tea, coffee and other hot drinks are served and available during the day. Supported / self service is available via the kitchenettes.
