Health Care Assistant

Responsible to: Nurses

 

The purpose of the position:

  • To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of residents in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
  • To help in the care of the residents’ physical environment and in the general day-to- day activities of the home.
  • To take delegated responsibilities in the charge of the residents under your care, to the appropriate level.

Housekeeper

Responsible to: Head of Housekeeping

 

Purpose of Position:

  • To ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the home.
  • To keep a high standard of appearance to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each care user. This is particularly applicable to each care user’s privacy and dignity and in respect of each care user’s personal possessions.

Activities Coordinator

Responsible to: Home Manager

 

Purpose of Position:

  • Planning and facilitating stimulating activities, promoting independence and choice to meet customer needs.
  • Controlling and maintaining the stock of activities equipment, materials and resources within a given budget.

Kitchen Assistant

Responsible to: Head Chef

 

Purpose of Position:

  • To prepare, cook and serve meals, ensuring that all special needs are fully considered and catered for in accordance with Service User requirements.
  • Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area (and, where appropriate, the dining areas) is carried out effectively
